“Origins – Life’s Epic Journey” is an immersive journey of discovering the incredible story of the beginning of life – presented in four chapters: from the origins of the universe to the formation of complex living organisms.
The exhibition combines digital art, advanced technology, and scientific research into a unique visual and emotional journey.

Starting in October 2025, the monumental industrial buildings of the Reinbeckhallen in Berlin will host a multisensory experience that brings the magic of our planet’s creation to life – from the birth of the universe to the first forms of life. Breathtaking digital art, fascinating soundscapes, and state-of-the-art technology – from analog and macro photography to AI-based generative art and 3D design – make this journey unique.

In close collaboration with leading digital artists and studios, Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig – Germany’s first Immersive Art Center and a pioneer of immersive art since 2016 – has developed and produced this exhibition. Under the artistic direction of Markos Kay, it brings together outstanding works by internationally renowned artists and studios.

Markos Kay, Martin Salfity, Thomas Vanz, Zeitguised, Alex Walker, Nervous System, Davy Evans, Teun van der Zalm, Kling Klang Klong, Gökhan Thekin, Kopfgestaltung, and Susi Sie.

The Reinbeckhallen, located on Berlin’s iconic Reinbeckareal, combine impressive industrial architecture with a vibrant art scene. The listed halls are well-known for their renowned studios and versatile event spaces. The venue unites history, the present, and innovation – creating a unique setting that gives the immersive exhibition ORIGINS its distinctive atmosphere.

Several public parking garages and paid parking areas are located within walking distance. In addition, the nearby Wilhelminenhofstraße is part of the MILES car-sharing zone.

It is possible to buy tickets at the venue. However, please note, that tickets and time slots can sell out quickly. Cash payments are not possible on-site. We therefore strongly recommend purchasing your ticket online in advance.
No, printing is not necessary. Simply show your digital ticket at the entrance.
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes beforehand. This allows enough time for entry and ensures you can start your experience feeling relaxed.
You can easily purchase group tickets online through our booking system. Select at least 12 people to get the group rate.
School class tickets can be booked and paid online on our website. Alternatively, you can reserve time slots online and pay on site using a cashless method. On-site cash payment is not possible. The price is per student and one accompanying adult per class is free of charge.
